Universal Petroleum began its commercial journey in 2001 with the launch of Universal Petroleum Vietnam Co., Ltd., based in Ho Chi Minh City. With an initial investment capital of USD 8.9 million, the company was a pioneer in the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Vietnam.
Our UPI Gas Facility, located in Binh Duong Province, serves as the operational hub for a wide range of energy solutions, including:
LPG Solutions for Transportation:
- Conversion of 100 airport taxis from gasoline to LPG fuel
- Development and operation of dedicated LPG filling stations
Bulk LPG Distribution:
- Supply of bottled LPG for residential and industrial use
- Installation and operation of piped gas systems serving over 2,000 condominium units
Through these initiatives, Universal Petroleum continues to play a key role in promoting cleaner energy alternatives and enhancing energy infrastructure across Vietnam.
UPI (Japan) Co., Ltd. is planning to establish a branch office in Jakarta to support the company’s upcoming LNG transshipment initiatives.
